Member agencies of the Regional Water Authority are each afforded the
opportunity to appoint two representatives to the Board of Directors,
either of whom may cast a single vote on behalf of their agency. To facilitate
effective communications and decision-making, RWA members are encouraged
to appoint one representative from their elected governing body and one
representative from executive staff.
The RWA Board meets on the second Thursday of every other month. For information

The RWA Board of Directors has established a nine-member Executive Committee
to coordinate and monitor the activities of RWA staff, review and approve
routine business decisions, and serve as a sounding board for ideas on
behalf of the Board of Directors. Executive Committee members are elected
by the Board in January, and serve a 12-month term. Executive Committee
meetings are held monthly, beginning at 8:30 am on the fourth Wednesday,
at the RWA Board room.

In 2003, the Regional Water Authority (RWA) established an "RWA Associate" class of membership
to include public and/or private entities that are not water utilities in this region but have
an interest in regional water matters. Associate members do not hold a seat on the RWA
Board but are afforded the opportunity to participate in regional water policy discussions,
participate in RWA programs/partnerships, and receive other benefits of RWA membership.
